The vivo Y200 series has expanded today in China with the introduction of a new Y200 variant. This latest model is distinct from the similarly named device sold in India, as it boasts a Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset.
The Y200 features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 1080p resolution, complete with a punch-hole design for the 8 MP selfie camera and an under-display fingerprint scanner. The screen offers a 100% DCI-P3 color gamut and supports a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, ensuring vibrant visuals and smooth performance.
On the back, the Y200 sports a dual-camera setup comprising a 50 MP main sensor and a 2 MP depth sensor for enhancing portrait shots with background blur. The device is powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 processor, paired with up to 12 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded further using a microSD card.
The Y200’s substantial 6,000 mAh battery supports rapid 80W fast charging, promising extended usage with minimal downtime. The smartphone runs on OriginOS 4, vivo’s custom Android skin, which integrates the Jovi assistant enhanced with generative AI capabilities based on vivo’s Blue LM technology.
The vivo Y200 is available in three color options: Orange, White, and Black. The pricing starts at CNY1,599 (approximately $220/€200), with the first sales set to commence on May 24.
