Mixed responses emerged after Davido reacted to a producer’s claim of unpaid royalties.

The producer, known as Napji, asserted that he produced several of Davido’s songs, including “Fem,” “Jowo,” and “Sunlight” from the “A Better Time” album released in 2020.

Napji stated he received an upfront payment of N500K for each song and desires to receive his due royalties.

Napji hinted at forthcoming details, indicating his intention to share more information soon.

In a statement, Napji identified himself as the producer of “Fem,” “Jowo,” and “Sunlight” on Davido’s “A Better Time” album, released on November 13, 2020. He mentioned receiving an advance payment of N500,000 for each track and expressed his intent to seek his owed royalties and publishing rights.
