Actor Amaechi Muonagor passes on after battle with kidney disease
Tragedy has struck the Nollywood industry, as popular Veteran Actor Amaechi Muonagor has tragically passed away.
The 61 – year old actor that was known with his comical role in movies, passed away with a long battle kidney disease Obosi, Idemili North, Local Goverment Area of Anambra State.
He suffered a stroke in 2023, that led partial paralysis of his left leg. There was an ongoing weekly dialysis and physiotherapy treatment, caused by the stroke.
Just a few days ago of him asking of financial help from Nigerians for kidney transplant was posted online. Unfortunately, he could not make it.
The sad news of the actor’s death was confirmed through a family source on Sunday evening, March 24th, 2024.
Morris Monye, a media personality, tweeted on X a micro-blogging platform of the actor’s dealth confirmation.
He said,
“Deeply heartbroken by the news of Amaechi Muonagor’s passing. He was a talented Nollywood actor whose presence on our screens was truly masterful. We watched with concern as he battled health issues, offering whatever support we could to help him seek treatment in India. This tragic loss highlights the need for better healthcare in our country.
