The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) issued a stern warning to Nigerians regarding the misuse of the national currency, Naira.

This caution follows the conviction of social media personality, Bobrisky, for offenses linked to mishandling the Naira. Bobrisky, known for his controversial online presence, received a six-month prison term from the Lagos court for Naira abuse, without the option of a fine.

This development prompted the EFCC to reaffirm its stance against such acts, emphasizing the gravity of currency abuse.

On Twitter, the EFCC reiterated its position and cautioned individuals involved in Naira abuse.
