“I recorded my debut song at the age of 12.” Mavin Records singer, Magixx, revealed.

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Alexander Adelabu, professionally known as Magixx, has expressed his deep-rooted passion for music since childhood, revealing that he recorded his inaugural song during his teenage years.

During a recent interview on The Beat 99.9 FM, the artist delved into his musical journey, recounting his beginnings as a rapper while in university. He attributed his self-confidence as instrumental in nurturing his love for music.

At the age of 24, Magixx disclosed that he commenced his musical voyage as a rapper during his third year at the University of Lagos, where he garnered recognition primarily for his rap skills. He reminisced about releasing his initial track, which was a complete rap composition.

The “Love Don’t Cost A Dime” crooner shared, “I love listening to music generally. I just really love listening to music, and from when I was like ten, eleven. In fact, I recorded my first song when I was like twelve; twelve, eleven I already had my first song.”

Reflecting on his adolescent debut in music, Magixx asserted his unwavering commitment to his musical aspirations, fueled by his profound affection for the art form. He acknowledged that it wasn’t until he received positive feedback from others upon recording a song that he truly embraced the notion of pursuing music as a talent.
